3 Years On, TSSP Remains a Refuge for DV Survivors

By ABIMBOLA E NELSON | Project Leader

Hello! Thank you so much for clicking to open our report!

More than ever before, God showed up for us this past quarter because, in spite of all that’s going on economically, our partners continued to stand by us. For this, we are immensely grateful.

Thanks to YOU, our young adopted mom, Ranti was able to finish all her chemotherapy sessions and undergo the surgery to remove her cancerous breast. She is back home with her husband and two young children and well on her way to full recovery by the grace of God.

Thanks to YOU, the four children of domestic abuse survivors in our care have been able to continue their education. They all did welll this last term and have been promoted to their next classes. In addition, a mom who had been suffering abuse for years was rescued along with her two children and brought to the Sholly Serenity Place in May 2024. Glory to God, after about a month with us, her sponsor was able to work to facilitate their safe return to her family outside Nigeria.

Thanks to YOU, Mr. Paul Kobby Nornoo, the other-abled gentleman has a rekindled hope as he continues his IT studies at APTECH. He is a beneficiary of six of the academic scholarships given out this quarter. His family is also one of the 30 families across Lagos and Abuja that benefitted from the Sholly Food Care Packages this quarter.

On May 26, we officially kicked off the Adefolalu Love is A Verb initiative. This social safety-net provides a N25,000 monthly allowance to 16 economically vulnerable women from Lagos, Ekiti, Akwa-Ibom and Cross- Rivers states. Thanks to everyone that celebrated my birthday with me by giving to this initiative. we were able to take on four more women from Bayelsa state starting  last month.

It will be difficult to share every single detail of all that God helped us deliver this past quarter. Still, I pray that, if you are one of our financial partners, this note as well as the slides to follow warm your heart and make you feel happy to be part of our #PainToPurpose story. If you are not yet giving towards our GodErrands, I pray this inspires you to do so. Come, join hands with us to make the world a happier place, one Sholly smile at a time!

Thank you and God bless!
