Our Project provides shelter, feeding, healthcare and LOVE for survivors of domestic abuse in Lagos, Nigeria. We take these women and their children (if they come with them) in and shower them with love by feeding them and taking care of all their welfare and health needs. In our care, these desperate, dejected and hopeless women find a renewed sense of self-worth and hope for their future and that of their children.
Grossly insufficient number of emergency shelters/transitional accommodation for survivors of domestic abuse. The Sholly Serenity Place is a 10-bed shelter trying to meet this important need. We want to get a bigger space but right now, our urgent need is feeding the residents we already have.
Meet out feeding cost and eventually help us provide a bigger shelter for emergency needs AND offer longer term transitional accommodation.
We will save lives and restore HOPE! Emergency shelters are great for immediate short-term safety, BUT transitional homes offer survivors a housing option and supportive service for up to 24 months. We seek to provide this option where our women can find hope again and be empowered to begin rebuilding their lives after fleeing abuse.
