This project aims to provide nutritious breakfast meals to 1000 rural schoolgirls in Sana'a, Yemen. It will increase the number of girls in primary schools. It aims to reduce the children's hunger during the school day. It'll contribute to achieving gender equality between boys and girls. Besides, it'll increase attention span, facilitate learning, and obviate the need for children to leave school to find food. That will achieve Global Goals 4 (Quality Education) & 5 (Gender Equality).
In rural Yemen, hunger is forcing many girls out of school. Years of conflict, extreme poverty, unemployment, and disease outbreaks have left families unable to provide even basic, nutritious meals for their children. As a result, many schoolgirls attend classes hungry, struggle to learn, or drop out completely. This project provides daily nutritious meals that help vulnerable girls stay healthy, remain in school, and continue building a better future.
SYS Organization will provide daily nutritious breakfast meals to 1,000 vulnerable rural schoolgirls in Sana'a Governorate, helping remove hunger as a major barrier to education. The meals will improve attendance, concentration, and learning while easing the burden on poor families and encouraging parents to keep their daughters in school. By supporting girls' education, the project also helps reduce gender disparities and promotes equal opportunities for boys and girls in rural communities.
Over one academic year, this project will provide nutritious breakfast meals to 1,000 girls at Al-Najah and Al-Razi Schools, helping them stay healthy, focused, and in school. Beyond the classroom, it will ease the burden on more than 2000 families and create a lasting impact by supporting girls' education, strengthening families, and empowering future generations.
