We recognize that the world is confronted with countless humanitarian crises and that generous donors like you are asked to support many urgent causes. Yet today, we implore you not to turn away from the crisis unfolding in Benue.
Every number you see—every statistic—represents a person with a story, a family with dreams and heartbreak. It’s the child who wonders when the next meal will come, the mother forced to stretch a small handful of food to feed her children, the farmer yearning for the day he can safely return to his land. It’s the young girl struggling to manage her hygiene in crowded camps without privacy or supplies, and the elderly person who now sleeps on the ground after losing the home they spent years building. It’s the family mourning loved ones while also searching for food and shelter.
These families did not choose this path. They did not choose displacement or the loss of their livelihoods. They did not wish to leave their farms, their schools, or their communities behind. They fled because home had become too dangerous to stay.
Your compassion can be the difference between despair and hope. By standing with GoGreen and the displaced families of Benue, you offer more than material aid—you send a message of solidarity and human kindness that no one should be left behind.
Please, help us restore hope and dignity to those who need it most.
