Through the Feed Displaced Families in Benue, Nigeria project, GoGreen is responding to urgent humanitarian needs among displaced and crisis-affected households. Our goal is to provide monthly humanitarian assistance to approximately 4,000 people in and around displacement camps in Makurdi, subject to the availability of donor funding.
The project is designed to provide:
Emergency Food Assistance: GoGreen will distribute essential food supplies to vulnerable displaced households, prioritizing families experiencing severe hunger and those with limited or no source of income.
Nutrition Support for Children:Children affected by displacement face heightened risks of malnutrition, illness, interrupted development, and long-term health complications. The project will support nutrition-focused assistance for vulnerable children and promote referrals for children requiring specialized medical or nutritional care.
Safe Water and Sanitation Support: Access to safe water is essential for preventing disease in overcrowded displacement settings. GoGreen will support access to drinking water and distribute water-storage containers, soap, and hygiene materials to vulnerable households.
