Dear Sponsors,
Thank you for your continued support of our chicken farm, Feathers of Hope. We've faced challenges, as the nature of chicken farming is delicate, and we have suffered a high mortality rate, which has impacted our bottom line. Unfortunately, we have yet to turn a profit, but we are experimenting with different methods to increase our broiler numbers for slaughter.
On the brighter side, our layers are thriving and producing hundreds of eggs daily, which not only generates income but also supplies fresh eggs to the community and our WOW Café. We are also exploring the possibility of raising village chickens, which are less expensive, healthier, and more robust.
In the meantime, your support has enabled us to continue providing chicken to poor widows with children, ensuring that the children in our programs are well-fed with nutritious foods. Although we haven’t yet reached our goal of fully funding our charity work through the farm, we are diligently working to improve our operations and produce better chickens for the community.
We deeply appreciate your ongoing support as we combat poverty and malnutrition among Tanzania’s most vulnerable. Your continued generosity will be crucial in helping us achieve our mission.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Paula Chomba
