Summary

In communities around Accra, skilled Orthodox youth lack access to financing that could turn their talents into livelihoods. Through the Constantine Foundation's Faith-Linked Microfinance Initiative, under the Orthodox Archdiocese of Accra, 80 young people each year receive $1,200-$2,000 microloans, training, and mentorship. Each loan helps a family build stability and renews hope-turning faith and skill into lasting impact across Ghana. ((Faith gives rise to hope, your gift makes it REAL)).

Challenge

ACROSS GREATER ACCRA, OVER 60% OF SKILLED ORTHODOX YOUTH FACE UNEMPLOYMENT due to lack of access to microfinance, mentorship, and markets. Many possess the training and determination to succeed but are trapped in a cycle of economic exclusion. Their hope fades despite their skill. Without structured support, families lose income, parishes weaken, and the next generation's potential remains untapped.

Solution

Through the Constantine African Foundation's Faith-Linked Microfinance Initiative, under the ORTHODOX ARCHDIOCESE OF ACCRA, 80 YOUTH EACH YEAR RECEIVE ($1,200-$2,000) MICROLOANS, BUSINESS TRAINING, AND 12 MONTHS OF GUIDED MENTORSHIP. This model transforms faith and skill into economic independence, creating family businesses, sustaining livelihoods, and restoring dignity through accountable, transparent, and faith-driven enterprise.

Long-Term Impact

WITHIN THREE YEARS, OVER 140 ORTHODOX YOUTH WILL BE TRAINED, financed, and mentored, creating more than 200 indirect jobs and local family incomes. A revolving microloan fund will ensure sustainability, while each parish becomes a small enterprise hub. From classrooms to workshops, from faith to finance, this initiative builds a lasting ecosystem of hope, turning compassion into structure and self-reliance across Ghana.
