Hello wonderful donors!
We just finished up our largest year of serving clients. We are surpassing our service numbers each year since we started our crisis response. We had 469 clients, which is a 49.6% increase. There were 9,103 services provided, which is an 82.31% increase. Our crisis response team has served 102 clients at the hospitals as well. We had over 1,000 crisis calls on our 24 hour crisis line. We hope to reach and serve even more survivors this year.
We try to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability and meet their needs or find community partners that can meet their needs. Through collaborating with churches and other organizations we have found they are more than willing to help support our clients. Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral hosted a “Sharing Closet”. This is an opportunity where clients were able to go in and “shop” for what they needed from the clothes donated to the church. This community partner asked ahead of time for what sizes and types of clothing we need so that the clients can be best served. Our clients that attended were so grateful; a need was successfully filled. We are so thankful for all our partners that provide an opportunity for more resources.
Fair Haven is thrilled to announce our inaugural “Masquerade Gala” in April, which is sexual assault awareness month. This fundraising event is another way for community partners to become warriors for change in supporting survivors through advocacy services, hosted and sponsored by Design Barn. This event will be featuring a unique experience where you get to behold the sight of “The Mask Project; a journey to healing”. The Mask Project is used for Survivors to express the impact of sexual violence on their life, identity and recovery journey. Featuring 5 masks to represent the spectrum of recovery and the individual’s right to self-identify as a Victim – Survivor – Thriver – Overcomer – Warrior for Change. Our clients are investing back into their recovery by giving their consent for the mask to be put into the silent auction.
Fair Haven services are growing in awareness and capacity is growing exponentially through the support of our community partners. Stay tuned for the unveiling of the future plans for expansion.
