These past few months at the MV Creative and Reintegration Center, as we do every week, we've been offering workshops in photography, writing, art, and other artistic expressions. This time, we held a workshop on clothing design and fashion, led by the artist Daniela. We also held a special workshop on collage and painting, led by the expressionist art professor Richar Budavari. This collage was an experimental project combining these two activities. It could potentially lead to a fanzine exhibition or content for the magazine.
In collaboration with the Tlatelolco Cultural Center, Jorge, Andrés, Miguel, Ponchis, and Emigdia prepared an exhibition. "Emergencia" (Emergency) exhibition arose from an initiative by the Tlatelolco Cultural Center to bring together three organizations: Mi Valedor, Reintegra, and Manos Amigues. They offered the artists a grant, and the process was guided and mediated, culminating in the exhibited pieces. This was their first opportunity to present their art in a museum.
The textile workshop took place before art week. Around five workshops were led by artist Daniela Fabrizi, where participants used secondhand clothing to create new garments, giving them a new life and reflecting the identity of each of the participants. The garments were presented at Huerto Roma Verde—a space that promotes ecological awareness in various ways.
