Dear Donors,

Hope you all are staying safe during this pandemic.

Sunil (name changed) and his younger brother get a meal a day from New Life's early learning centre. His father is a load man. His mother tolls beedis (cigars). Both of them do not have a regular income. And the pandemic has affected their income to a great extent. His father spends most of his income on drinking alcohol.

Sunil's mother says, "We have no income during this pandemic and it is very difficult to give nutritious food to our children. New Life is of great support to us and did not stop providing a meal a day to our children in the early learning centre. Both of my sons are fed by the New Life team. Thank you dear donors, for helping our children through New Life".

The early learning centre continues to provide nutritious food to the children benefitted from the centre. The teaching is not yet started.  We are taking all the safety precautions while distributing the food. Our children and we are waiting for this pandemic to come under control soon and we can be back in the centre as early as possible.

We thank you dear donors who are continuously supporting this project and help us in providing a meal a day to our poor kids. Without your continuous support, it would not have been possible. Kindly keep supporting us both financially and by spreading words to your friends and relatives through social media. Your words carry weight and will help us get the required donations to continue providing food.

Thank you once again. Take care and stay safe.

Dear Donors,

Hope you all are staying safe during this pandemic.

"We have no income during this pandemic and it is very difficult to give nutritious food to our children. At this outset, New Life is of great support to us. They are continuously providing a meal to the children in the early learning centre even in this crucial time. Thank you dear donors, for helping our children through New Life", says Magi (name changed) mother of a child in our early learning centre.

The early learning centre provides only nutritious food to the children benefitted by the centre and otherwise, it is not functioning.

Thanking you once again. Take care and stay safe dears.

Dear Donors,

The Republic Day and Samathuva Pongal were celebrated at New Life's Kajapettai Early Learning Centre on 26th January. It was celebrated to foster freedom, peace, unity and compassion. The flag was hoisted by the chief guest Rtn. Valarmathi, President, Rotary Club of Trichirappalli Sakthi. Competitions were conducted for women (kolam competition) and children (sack race and frog race). Prizes were sponsored by RCT Shakthi. Pongal was distributed and sweets given.

It was lovely to see our alumnae participate in the competitions conducted. Mala was a student of our early learning centre during 2011-13. She is now studying 7th standard. She participated in the sack race and got a prize. We are happy to see the energetic Mala who was weak when admitted to our centre.  Mala thanks New Life team for giving her the motivation even after she left the early learning centre. She says, with no parents at home to look after (her mother died and her father left the 9 children with their maternal grandmother) she is able to study and participate in games only with the continuous support provided to her by New Life's coaching class.

We thank you, dear donors, for supporting poor, deprived, deserted children like Mala to have a safe childhood with nutritious food and help them to achieve age-appropriate milestones. Kindly keep supporting these poor children who are from difficult circumstances. Keep spreading words about the project to your friends and relatives. Even your small contributions are valuable for our children. During this pandemic time we are providing nutritious food to the children and help us help them.

Thank you.

Dear Donors,

The children are yet to come back to the centre due to the restriction for the children to come to schools. However New Life is providing lunch for the children who are admitted to our early learning centre. To improve the immunity power of the children, Vitamin A was given to the children. This will improve their eyesight and help them overcome their deficiencies. 25 children were benefitted by this. Albendazole was also given to the children for deworming.

All safety measures are ensured to see that we provide safe and nutritious food to our children. We continue to pray that the world will soon recover from the pandemic COVID-19 and start functioning normally. We are waiting to see our beautiful children coming back to our learning centre and coaching classes soon.

To support the families of the children in our early learning centre and coaching classes New Life planned to give training to the women in their families with the support of Rotary Club of Trichirappalli Shakthi and Krishna Foundation. Skill training on wire basket making was conducted to 15 women in Kajapet who are from the families of our early learning children.

The training was completed on 9th October with an assessment. Certificates were given to the trainees. The program aims to give these poor women an additional income generating skill by utilising their leisure hours.

We thank all our donors for their valuable support to our organisation to provide food to the poor kids in spite of all odds and economic crunch during this pandemic. Kindly spread words about our work to  your friends and relatives so that we can continue to provide food to our children.

Thanking you once again.

Stay safe!

Dear Donors,

Hope you are all safe and healthy. Wishing that we all be saved from this pandemic.

The outbreak of pandemic COVID-19 has worst affected the families, New Life works with.

New Life's early learning centre and coaching classes had to stop functioning since March 17th. In most of the families, the breadwinners are either daily wage earners or low profile job workers. The pandemic has affected the income of these families worstly and they had been striving hard to feed their children when the lock down was announced by the Government. Tamil Nadu was locked down since March 24. And the lock down for all works was lifted on May 11th in Trichy. However the public transportation started functions with safety restrictions from June 8th. Till then it had been a great struggle for the poor to go to work.

Knowing the suffering of the people, we mobilised money to supply relief materials for these families. We succeeded in supplying 60 relief kits in April 2020 to the families of our children benefitted by early learning centre and coaching classes. The relief kit contained 9 items (rice, dhal, chickpeas, tamarind, masala powders, oil, soap, etc).

There is still a restriction for the children to come to school. So to support these poor families whose economy has been greatly affected, New Life started giving (only) food to our early learning children from June 8th. All safety measures are ensured to see that we provide safe and nutritious food to our children. We pray that the world will soon recover from the effects of COVID-19 and start functioning normally. We are waiting to see our beautiful children coming back to our learning centre and coaching classes soon.

Aathika's (name changed) mother says that, " My husband is working in a shoe shop and I roll beedis. We had no work and thus no income during this Corona widespread. My daughter is studying in the early learning centre of New Life. The kit supplied by New Life was very helpful to our family. And now they are providing food to our two small children. This has reduced our burdent to a great extent. I thank New Life and its donors for helping us."

We thank all our donors for their valuable support to our organisation to provide food to the poor kids in spite of all odds and economic crunch during this pandemic. Kindly spread words about our work to  your friends and relatives so that we can continue to provide food to our children.

Thanking you once again.

Stay safe!
