Preserve Living Wages for Women Artisans in Ghana

For more than 20 years, we’ve witnessed the power of community through strong, long-term relationships with the Mamas, employees, partner producers, customers, volunteers, interns, and you, our incredible donors. As mentioned in our last report, thanks to your awesome generosity, we were able to decrease the expected pay cuts for staff from 10 to 5%. Moreover, those donations allowed us to keep production going, sustaining us through the first part of 2026 and resulting in our largest batik order to date - over 15,000 yards of custom-designed fabric is now being produced by the Mamas! That’s right,15,000 yards! We would not have been able to secure such an order without your support.

Now for the biggest update! Your partnership has enabled us to completely eliminate pay cuts for our ENTIRE staff in Ghana and the U.S. As you can imagine, our team breathed a collective sigh of relief after receiving the news…and that’s hugely thanks to you! Thank you for being part of a community that creates positive and lasting change. We are committed to sustainable growth, and that cannot happen without you.
