The 2020 school year started with a bang, and our 106 scholars are off and running! This includes our all-important clubs. In Sacatepequez each of our 35 junior high and high school students must participate in three clubs. The clubs this year are:
Math: 19 students (mandatory for junior high and the final year of high school)
English: 28 students (mandatory for both junior high and high school)
Debate: 13 students (mandatory for the final year of high school)
Mentoring: 13 students (in August, mandatory for the final year of high school)
Creative Writing: 5 students
Japanese: 7 students
Music: 8 students
Zumba: 1 student
Art: 8 students
Social Theater: 12 students
Ultimate frisbee: 3 students
In Alta Verapaz we have 47 junior high and high school students. The clubs are:
English: all (mandatory for both junior high and high school)
Debate: 11 (mandatory for the final year of high school)
Art: 23 students (must choose one of art or physical education)
Physical Education: 24 students (must choose one of art or physical education)
Math (depending on school math scores)
Computation (mandatory for all new scholars and we also offer an intermediate course)
