The program aims to reach 400 young people especially teenage girls through community outreaches and training activities. In this reporting period, total of 287 girls and 136 boys were reached with knowledge and skills to reduce their vulnerability against HIV/AIDS. Participants gained knowledge about safe practices, reproductive health, and gender equality. They also built skills in communication, decision-making, and self-protection. This empowered them to make informed choices, resist peer pressure, and advocate for healthier relationships, strengthening resilience against HIV.
The program deliverables include: -
Life skills: The Training focused on assertive communication, resisting peer pressure, negotiating safer sex, and making informed health decisions. These skills help teenagers protect themselves and support peers.
Gender empowerment: Girls learned to challenge harmful norms, value self-worth, and advocate for equality. Boys were engaged to respect boundaries and promote supportive relationships.
Peer education: Young people have become peer mentors, sharing accurate HIV knowledge, modeling positive behavior, and creating safe spaces for dialogue.
The Organization is still mobilizing resources to effeciaently implement project activities in order to reach more young girls.
