This project is to empower 20 women from Kavimvira, from the groups most affected by domestic violence, the consequences of armed conflicts and floods. At the same time, YWAM will provide weekly rations and weekly distribution of nutritious porridge to 300 malnourished children under 10 years old supervised by YWAM
Uvira, in South Kivu, faces recurrent armed conflicts, displacement, gender-based violence, floods, and limited access to education and healthcare. These challenges, exacerbated by poverty and inadequate infrastructure, disproportionately affect women and children, hindering economic progress and basic needs fulfillment
The project in Uvira trains women in soap making, improves their production management, and offers food aid. It provides nutritious porridge to malnourished children, empowering women, enhancing community health, and aiming to reduce poverty by offering sustainable livelihoods and better access to basic services for vulnerable women and children
The project aims to reduce poverty and improve living conditions in Uvira by empowering 20 women, enhancing access to education and healthcare, and promoting community health and well-being. It also seeks to instill long-term behavior change regarding health and nutrition
