Pakistan's urban expansion comes with significant challenges that threaten sustainability and the well-being of urban dwellers. Water Scarcity due to increasing demand and poor water management plus Food Insecurity because of limited urban agriculture, training and inefficient supply chains has become a problem for the people. Solid Waste Management Issues, contributing to pollution and diseases is another alarming concern.Water and food is life and this is a challenge for our communities.
Through our project we will Empower Women,Training them to manage organic waste and make compost we will turn waste into resource.Rooftop Gardening will teach communities to utilize limited spaces for food production, improving urban food security. Compost Making will reduce waste at the household level by composting organic material producing nutrient rich soil.Rainwater Harvesting Units will assist households in using water and maintain rainwater collection systems to tackle water scarcity.
Such initiatives will counter environmental pollution by reducing landfill waste,conserving water, and boosting subsistence household roof top farming.In the Long-term, through our efforts, communities, particularly women, will contribute to environmental protection while gaining self-reliance.Scaling such models can drive policy changes toward urban greening, sustainable agriculture, and water conservation while creating healthier ecosystems and equitable societies globally.
