Hands-on learning approach to wellness education

Ask without Shame EarlyBird256 workshops
Ask without Shame EarlyBird256 workshops

In addition to advocating for education for youth in rural areas, youth in villages must know and be comfortable with sex and wellness education. They face many issues like early marriage, pregnancies, and other sexual and reproductive health concerns that are a result of a lack of access to information, which usually leads to misconceptions and myths.

We are grateful for Busoga High School, our partner secondary school in Kamuli, which welcomes our safe space and workshops. Not only the 33 scholarship students but also their classmates benefit from our workshops at Busoga High School. Our Ask without Shame workshops also address mental health, self-esteem, and well-being. We are encouraging open discussions and reducing the stigma around sex and mental health.

This impacts the village's social development because educating youth, especially when making informed choices about their lives, bodies, and futures, contributes to a more informed and healthy community. The best part about this is that we work with trained local health workers to provide accurate information and support.

Thank you for supporting this scholarship program with Busoga High School. It enables youth in Kamuli to have access to educational resources and be empowered to live happy, meaningful lives.

This is how we do little things with passion.
