EarlyBird256 students thriving in High School

Empowering young women to use their voices

The Empowering Ugandan Youth through Arts Education campaign is fundraising for the school fees of a class of 33 students enrolled at Busoga High School, our local partner High School. This collaboration ensures that we are sponsoring more students with our resources. One of the many ways that we are #doinglittlethingswithpassion

  • Our students' enthusiasm for learning extends beyond the classroom, as demonstrated by their active participation in community initiatives. A notable example is their involvement in the 'Keep Kamuli Clean' campaign, where they collectively cleaned up to two miles alongside their school. This quarterly activity fosters a sense of responsibility towards their communities and provides a practical application of their learning, reinforcing the importance of their contributions.

  • Arts Education empowers students, especially girls, to stand up and use their voices. We see an increase in their classroom results. The more the students participate in after-school workshops and sports, the more confident they become, especially when using their voices.

  • The garden as a classroom. Our scholarship program is essential because our students get their basic needs met, learn in a safe environment, and occasionally collaborate with local organizations and businesses to introduce them to their village's diverse opportunities.

From Kamuli, with love and gratitude, we are grateful for your continuous support.
