Dear Supporter,
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported the Teaching for Peace initiative during its early stages.
Although the project is still at the beginning of its journey, your generosity has already helped us take important first steps toward bringing this vision to life.
Across Syria, teachers continue to face enormous challenges. Many are working in environments shaped by years of conflict, where children carry the emotional weight of displacement, loss, uncertainty, and trauma. Supporting educators with the tools they need to foster understanding, resilience, and positive learning environments has never been more important.
Thanks to our early supporters, preparations for the project are now underway.
Current efforts are focused on planning training activities, coordinating with educational stakeholders, identifying participants, refining educational materials, and preparing the foundations needed to launch high-quality capacity-building programs for teachers in the coming months.
While implementation activities are being prepared, fundraising remains a critical priority.
The need is significant, and additional support is required to ensure that more teachers can access training in peace education, psychosocial support, communication skills, and conflict-sensitive teaching approaches.
Every contribution helps move this initiative closer to reality.
By investing in teachers, we are investing in thousands of children who depend on schools not only for education, but also for stability, encouragement, and hope.
We are grateful to the donors who believed in this vision from the very beginning.
Your support is helping lay the groundwork for classrooms where empathy, respect, and cooperation can flourish despite the challenges that communities continue to face.
As preparations continue, we look forward to sharing more updates with you in the months ahead.
Thank you for standing with us at the start of this important journey.
Together, we can help equip Syria’s educators with the skills and support they need to inspire a generation shaped not by conflict, but by understanding, resilience, and peace.
