2024 was an incredible year!
Thanks to your support, we distributed an astounding 9,300 pad kits to women and girls in 20 countries, profoundly impacting countless lives. One junior school we visited shared the lasting impact: "These pads mean so much to young girls who can't afford disposable ones. The delivery, coupled with lessons on menstruation and the reproductive cycle, was truly a gift."
Now, the University of Western Africa in Bretherton, Kenya has asked our sewing groups to provide pads for a study at a Homa Bay high school. This research will explore the connection between reusable pads, reduced school absences due to menstruation, and improved exam results.
In 2025 The Pad Project is hoping to expand the pad kit we supply to include a wet bag for use with soiled liners. This will now be essential in Kenya as the government has now banned the use of all plastic bags, so Ziploc type bags are no longer available for the girls to use.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your invaluable financial support makes The Pad Project a truly special place, and we're deeply grateful for your commitment to empowering school girls.
