To our valued supporters at GlobalGiving.org,
We are thrilled to bring you an exciting update on the progress of The Pad Project! Thanks to your unwavering support, we continue to make significant strides in combating period poverty and empowering women and girls around the world.
A crucial component of our reusable sanitary pad kits is, of course, underwear – the pads simply cannot be used without them. We are delighted to report that we recently held our annual Panties Drive, and the response was overwhelming! We successfully collected an incredible 2,400 pairs of new underwear, which will be instrumental in ensuring our pad kits are complete and ready for distribution. Our goal is to include a brand new pair of underwear with every single pad set we sew, providing a complete solution for dignified menstrual hygiene.
So far this year, we have already distributed an impressive 6,200 of our reusable sanitary pad kits! We are incredibly proud of this achievement and are well on track to surpass our goal of distributing 10,000 kits by the end of the year.
Each one of these kits represents more than just a reusable pad; it represents the opportunity for 10,000 girls to remain in school continuously, without missing valuable education due to their periods. It also means 10,000 women can maintain their employment and participate fully in their communities, free from the barriers of period poverty.
Your generosity directly translates into tangible impact, transforming lives and fostering greater gender equality. Thank you for being such a vital part of The Pad Project's success.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Too Little Children's Pad Project Team
