PCI Media empowers women and girls to live self-determined lives. Using audience-driven storytelling and community engagement, we co-create stories that resonate locally and lead to long-term change. From radio dramas to social media campaigns, our content shifts harmful social norms. These stories help to end violence against women and girls, increase access to reproductive health services, and ultimately empower women and girls to make choices that improve their health and social outcomes.
Gender inequality and harmful social norms put the health and safety of women and girls at risk. Over a third of women worldwide experience violence at some point in their lives. Early and unintended pregnancy threatens the health and future of over 50% of women and girls globally. Harmful gender norms result in the low prioritization of women's health. Multiple global crises exacerbate these issues and make access to sexual and reproductive health even more challenging.
Our captivating content increases knowledge and shifts attitudes and behaviors. By prioritizing the voices of women and their communities, they can realize their full potential. We amplify stories that improve access to sexual health services, normalize informed conversations, and counter harmful norms to foster gender equity around the globe. Our programs are sustainable because they are community-driven and empower audiences and local partners to drive change beyond the length of our programs.
Providing access to information and changing harmful perceptions of gender roles, women's health, and sexual health on a greater scale gives women and girls more opportunities for education and financial independence. This also improves communities' social and economic development. Up to 90% of our audience members report changing their attitudes and behaviors thanks to our programs.
