Summary

Proposed project aimed to address Asset building strategy that increases financial and tangible assets focuses of individuals, families and communities at Kurigram District in Bangladesh. VIEW plans to 0rganizing 500 women for developing groups' solidarities, 200 Adolescents girls providing life skill training and 900 children who are out reach of education from extreme poor families and also providing assets to 100 women. Community Health services to 5000 beneficiaries and emergency responses.

Challenge

In the male dominant society women's are in a disadvantageous position. Many discriminatory practices arise out of some deep-rooted socio-cultural factors. Women in Kurigram are sometimes so ill-treated that they become victims of domestic violence every day. Women are considered to be a burden for the parents and feel unsecured most underage girls got married in the10-14 years. Most women's had limited access to markets, productive services, education, health care, and local government.

Solution

0rganizing 500 disadvantaged women for developing groups promote savings to raise their capital at end of project. 200 Adolescents girls from poor families providing life skill training and 900 children who are out reach of education from extreme poor families will bring under non-formal education. The project also intended to provide health services, Social awareness, Life skill Training for adolescents, transfer of asset to 200 progressive women and provision for emergency response.

Long-Term Impact

*The project will educate 900 children through non-formal education. * 200 adolescents girls will receive live skill training for their sustainable livelihood development * 500 women will form 25 informal groups for social mobilization * 10000 women will get health services along with medication at their door step * Tangible asset will be transfer to 100 women for their self-reliance * Women and girls are empowered in all aspects * In-built mechanism will develop * Their capacity develop
