Thanks to your generous support, we were able to help young people develop practical skills that can become pathways toward sustainable livelihoods.
In rural communities, formal employment opportunities can be limited. Skills training therefore provides young people with another way to build their futures—through self-employment, small businesses, service provision, and entrepreneurship.
Development Alert's skills initiatives are designed to help beneficiaries move beyond simply acquiring knowledge. The goal is to encourage people to apply what they learn in ways that can generate income and strengthen their independence.
A practical skill can continue creating value long after a training session has ended. It can become a source of income, a service to the community, and potentially an opportunity to employ or mentor others.
