Expanding Opportunities for Rural Women Development Alert continues to transform lives in rural Uganda by providing interest-free microloans to women entrepreneurs. This initiative addresses one of the biggest barriers women face—access to affordable capital. With 100 women already supported, beneficiaries are now running small businesses in agriculture, retail, and local trade. Without the burden of high-interest repayments, these women are reinvesting profits into their businesses and households. Many report improved ability to pay school fees, access healthcare, and meet daily needs. In addition to financial support, the program emphasizes mentorship, savings culture, and peer collaboration. Women meet regularly to share experiences, build skills, and encourage one another. The results go beyond income—they represent dignity, confidence, and independence. As these women succeed, they become role models in their communities. We are grateful to our supporters for making this impact possible and look forward to expanding this life-changing initiative.
