Dear Supporter!
Once again Songtaba send you greetings from Nanumba in Ghana. This report is the first in series of Empowering girls in School Project. Donations received so far from GlobalGiving have been instrumental in mobilsing and strenghtening 18 girls clubs in 16 community basic schools in Nanumba district of the northern region of Ghana. These clubs have been strengthen to see themselves as support unit, and have drawned up various activities/programmes which eventually will be coordinated into a general girls club manual. The schools as part of the processes have identified female teachers to serve as mentors to these clubs.
Seidu Nafisah is one of the girls clubs member has this to say when she was asked about how she feel being a member of the girls club. ' I feel so exited to be a member of the Nakpayili gilrs club; infact being a member of the club for a month now has really been helpful. we have received good mentorship from out teacher mentor, and am begining to see an increase in my confidence as a girl. I will like to thank all the suppoters who have made this possible for me and my colleagues.'
