The Fight against COVID 19 is a collective responsibility of all persons at all levels. Every key satke holder needs to join hands to defeat this global pandemic, it against this background that Songtaba has supported leadership of girls club in Nanumba to share experiences with class people and school mates in the prevention of the noble corona virus. Humaiya, 16 years old girls club executive at Nakpayili junior high school took a bold step to discuss with her class students on her experiences from the training she received from Songtaba on how to protect herself and colleagues against corona virus. She encourages her colleagues to always use face mask, hand sanitizer and frequently wash their hands with soap under running water. She demonstrated to them on how to wear face mask and to apply hand sanitizer. She told them not to keep their facemask and hand sanitizers at home without using them. She said it was for a good reason each student was given facemask and hand sanitizers by the school from the donation of Philanthropies and Non profits including Songtaba and partners.
Ghana education service in their quest to support fight corona virus, gave personal protection equipment to all final year students at both Senior and junior high schools across the country after they were called back to school to sit for their final year exams. Each student took home two facemasks and 200ml bottle of hand sanitizer. However many student do not attached much importance to the usage and claimed it has several discomfort.
Realizing the critical roles personal protection equipments play in defeating this global pandemic, Songtaba supported girls club to share with colleagues on the need and importance of using personal protection equipment at public places and other important gatherings. The girls were equally inform to avoid crowded places where necessary and adhere to world health organization and government of Ghana safety protocols on CONVID 19 prevention. They were also told to share with colleagues on best practices and behaviors that promote fight against the deadly virus (COVID 19).
This public sensitisation has contributed a lot to reducing the risk of infection among schools ouoils in Nanumba, and this was made possible by you kind donation
