We want each woman to stand up and say: watch me live, watch me strive, watch me succeed. Mirame (watch me) is our initiative focused on enabling Ecuadorian women leaders to reach their full potential. This program is aimed at creating unique opportunities to support local women including workshops, partnerships and mentoring. Our goal is to give a voice to a grassroots movement where women are mobilized to ignite change from within.
After working on the ground for 10 years, we have seen countless women leaders with a vision to change the world & the lives of other women, but they have no personal or professional support to make their vision a reality. Women have been marginalized in the local context, making it harder for them to lead community initiatives and serve in leadership positions. Without opportunities for self-development and training, Ecuadorian women are too often left disempowered to elevate their communities.
We will take our existing capacity building model to the wider community, to serve all Ecuadorian women leaders who have a dream - one which they have been marginalized out of fulfilling. We will invest in & establish an innovative, responsive program that supports women in critical areas through access to education and training, mentoring and networking . We want to give a voice to the women who are ready to rise and say: Watch me live; Watch me strive; Watch me succeed.
Investing in women leaders is not just an investment in individuals; it's an investment in entire communities. Studies have shown that when women are empowered and given the tools to lead, communities thrive. A recent report indicated that communities with strong female leadership experience a 34% decrease in poverty rates and an increase of up to 50% in access to education and healthcare services.
