This project will provide quality education to nearly 2000 Cambodian children experiencing poverty and will also combat the diverse barriers to education by providing supportive services like food, healthcare, childcare, etc. to ensure the community can thrive.
In the Steung Meanchey community, the site of a former massive garbage dump, diverse obstacles caused by persisting poverty make accessing quality education a challenge for children. This project not only provides education to Cambodian children experiencing poverty but addresses the multitude of obstacles standing between them and education, ensuring they and their families are supported and they have the chance to succeed in school and beyond.
Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF) not only provides free, exemplary education but also takes a comprehensive approach to tackling the many barriers that perpetuate poverty and prevent children from attending and excelling in school. By providing direct support services like healthcare, childcare, and community support, families are supported and the community has the opportunity to thrive.
CCF has the vision to lift the community of the former Steung Meanchey landfill out of poverty and into a new era of hope and possibility through the provision of education. By providing students with the tools, skills, and resources crucial to accessing and succeeding in education, CCF continues to see its student body move on to university and into successful careers, propelling into a brighter future for themselves and their community.
