Thanks to our generous supporters, 2025 was our most impactful year yet!

We hope you will read through the 2025 Impact Report attached to learn about the many ways your contribution created ripples of impact in La Guajira, Colombia.

In the report attached below you'll find detailed descriptions of the educational courses we offer Wayuu women, statistics on our impact over the last 5 years, and monthly highlights recapping our work throughout 2025.

Here are just a few accomplishments we're proud of from 2025:

  • We held 35 full-day workshops on sustainable community-led entrepreneurship, product innovation & cultural design, positive leadership, and more.
  • 31 Wayuu women graduated from our Yala'yalaa School for Women's Empowerment. For many of them this was their first time taking a course or receiving a diploma!
  • We provided fair trade work opportunities and consistent income to 120 Wayuu weavers throughout the year.
  • We funded a bulk food store in Ovejomana to improve food security for an entire community!
  • We gave interest-free micro loans to 16 Wayuu women who needed financial relief or who wanted to invest in the education of their children & themselves.

We ended the year in Colombia with our graduation ceremony, which is beautifull recapped in this video

The 2026 cohort for the Yala'yalaa School begins classes this week! We are thrilled to report that our participating is doubling this year. More updates to come!

With gratitude,

Jackie Gilbert
