The current economy has left so many families helpless and daily survival has been a struggle for individuals and families. Eating twice a day for an average family is more than luxury. A lot of widows barely have little or no support from people, hence leaving the children hungry and out of school. We intend to empower these women with skills that would help them stand independently to make ends meet. We have mapped out plans to teach them relevant skills that will be beneficial to them.
The community is rural and has women struggling to survive and fend for their kids especially the widows. Women are affected, families are affected but we want to reach out o widows especially. There are currently about 50 widows we know of who need help to support their children. The economy is biting hard and leaving a lot of families helpless. Feeding has become luxury
We understand that feeding is important but we also know that it is important to teach them how to fish and make their money. Empowering them with skills to make them equipped for making ends meet, thereby bringing income. At the long run, their children may also learn from them and run this as a business .
The project will empower 50 widows allowing them learn different skills to equip them enough to be independent and have streams of income.
