PETROLLEUM JELLY PROJECT
By David Karanja | Project Leader
We managed to create a second batch of our petrolleum Jelly we had started from last year. This batch was however more advanced and upgraded as we ensured to correct some of the mistakes from the previous batch . For example we had remarks of it been softer and more shiny from the users.
We sold this batch to our supporters from the local church members and from the profits we plan to create a third batch. We do have plans to upscale and even get the product certified by the government so that we can scale in retail stores.
All this will be made possible via your support. We hope you would continue to show your continuous support.
Thankyou GlobalGiving

DONATING CLOTHES TO VULNERABLE HIV WOMEN
We were able to donate clothes for the Vulnerable women living with HIV. This was made possible by the help of well wishers and in partnership with K.A.G BuruBuru. The women were happy as they were able to take home with them many clothes not only for themselves but also for their loved ones e.g their husbands and children and even for other relatives and friends.
It was also during that session that we were able to discuss the way forward on our Vaseline project and other various income generating activities we are looking forward to take part in this year . In order to help us grow together and improve our livelihood and those of the vulnerable women children so that they get access to good quality education and get a fair chance or opportunity like any other.
Thankyou GlobalGiving and well wishers for your continuous support . We hope you may continue to support us in order to achieve our goals for the year and so that our Vaseline project can grow.

HIV WOMEN UPDATE
By David Karanja | Project Leader
Tumaini Fund for Economic International runs a HIV AIDS program for women around the community . Many of our members do odd jobs like washing peoples clothes, sweeping companies compounds among others. They however are willing to be business owners and start and run their own business.
We had a meet up with them recently and they said that some wanted to do start businesses like selling fruits and groceries. As tumaini we are looking forward to carry out a training to equip them with technical skills such as baking, beauty and to give them start up capital. This will enable them sustain their families and themselves and live more fullfiling lives.
We also encourage them to accept themselves and their condition shouldn't limit them . We occasionally provide them with food as they come for our weekly meet ups in preparation for Aids Day
