By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader
Across rural Uganda, thousands of women face daily hardship due to limited access to income opportunities, vocational training, financial services, and productive resources. Single mothers and caregivers of orphaned children are especially vulnerable as climate change, poor harvests, and unemployment deepen poverty. This project will equip women with practical business skills, entrepreneurship training, savings group participation, and start-up livelihood resources to create sustainable sources of income. Ongoing mentorship will help them grow resilient small businesses and improve household stability. Increased earnings will enable families to afford nutritious food, quality healthcare, and education for their children. By investing in women, this project will reduce poverty, strengthen local economies, promote self-reliance, and create lasting opportunities that benefit future generations and transform entire communities.
