This project aims at empowering and building capacity of 105 destitute women in Eastern Uganda by providing them with interest free revolving loans and business management skills . This will be achieved through training 7 groups of women comprising of 105 members about financial literacy, Selection Planning and Management (SPM),extending revolving loans, coaching and mentor-ship sessions for beneficiaries.
Majority of the poor and subsistence women farmers are found in the rural areas where there are high levels of poverty and limited access to finances. Whilst the fact that CCE is supporting 6 groups of women with training's and collateral free micro credit loans, their is still a need to support 7 groups of destitute women to improve on their income levels so as to improve on the health, nutrition, hygiene, and educational standards for families.
CCE provides collateral free micro credit loans to women groups , business training, mentorship and coaching to destitute families.These women are organized in groups comprising of 15 members in each group .Through this it offers women immediate benefits of launching microenterprises, increasing their skills, improving their ability to access traditional financing and becoming self reliant
Building capacity in skills such as entrepreneurial/business management skills, leadership skills of 105 women in the 7 groups. Empowering 105 beneficiaries economically towards self-sufficiency to enable beneficiaries generate enough income for their households. Through this there will be improved household living standards/family well being, and spur local economic development.
