SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR KIAMBIU CHILDREN

We've continued to provide support to Glory Center school in Kiambui slum located in Nairobi. The school deals with children from low income backgrounds from pre-school , kindergaten and Grade 1-3. We noticed that the school lacked sufficient school supplies like books, textbooks, crayons, modelling clay , pens , coloring books and other learning materials. In partnership with the locals staying around the area mostly BuruBuru Phase 1 . We were able to gather this materials from residents through their generous donations.
From the reminder we were able to cater their food for the month as well as to cover rent for the school for two months . The teachers were grateful and we continue to encourage you to continue giving so that we empower this children with quality education.

FEEDING GLORY EDUCATION CENTER CHILDREN
We were able to donate food to Glory Center Kiambiu pupils . In order to enable them stay in school and encourage their families to bring them to school in order that they get educated as well as be well nuorished. We are aware and saddened that lack of food keeps children especially in informal settlements away shool. Since there parents will prefer that they stay at home . As tumaini we trying to curb that vice from happening. We believe that all children have a right to education regardless of their economic background situation.
Moving forward we aim to provide them with books and learning materials that may help improve their literacy. Glory center Education Center mainly focuses on early childhood education. Which we believe its important as it focuses on laying the foundation of their life's education and every child deserves nothing short but the best.

EMPOWERING DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN WITH EDUCATION

This project is geared to ensure that children at Kiambiu slum have access to education . The school we support is called Glory Education Center . The school has children from preschool to grade two. They face a wide range of challenges such as inadequate learning materials e.g pencils, crayons, paint ,plastacine ,exercise books ,text books. This slows down learning also all the children learn in a single room and the younger ones make noise for the older ones hurbring learning. Other challenges include inadequate food and rent for the school.
Recently we have managed to carry out a few visits to the school and noticed that the number of pupils have decreased due to the effects of the pandemic that had an heavy impact on the school. In our visits we manged to provide them with toiletries and pencils.
We also have plans in underway in carry out a newspaper drive in order to aid the school and cater for their needs. As we continue to figure out other long term strategies that we can put in place and also benchmark with other children centered non profit organisations to learn from them. This will enable us to be in a better position to provide for the school and best help the children.
