The typhoon and rainy season front that occurred in July this year stayed in the Japanese archipelago for a long period of time, causing extensive damage throughout the country. More than 7,000 houses (totally, partially, or partially) have been destroyed. JPF will deliver assistance in accordance with the actual situation and needs in the area so that people whose houses and other structures have been damaged by the serious torrential rain disaster and who are facing difficulties.
According to field surveys conducted by JPF member NGOs, There are damands for technical work that cannot be done by ordinary volunteers. There are many people suffering (or will be suffered) by damaged houses, however, due to less death tolls, it has been very difficult to get donations.
In addition to providing know-how on cleaning and preserving damaged houses, JPF member NGO's have been performing technical work that cannot be done by ordinary volunteers, and providing transportation support for affected people, JPF is also replenishing furniture and fixtures damaged by the flooding at welfare facilities for the disabled and elderly, and providing warm and nutritious meals to evacuees at evacuation centers and in their homes.
We will deliver assistance in accordance with the actual situation and needs in the area so that people whose houses and other structures have been damaged by the serious torrential rain disaster and who are facing difficulties in their living environment will be provided with livelihood restoration assistance and their living environment will be improved as soon as possible. We will follow theGuideline preventing the spread of the disease, and will be careful to avoid the spread of the disease
