Because of the generosity of donors, this Winter, the Healthcare Residents at Cedar Village Retirement Community in Mason, Ohio, were provided with the continued opportunity in making music which truly adds to their overall life enrichment. In early December participants in the Cedar Village Chior and Bell Chior joined for a festive celebration on music and performance for family, friends and the community.
With all the wet weather, music and entertainment have brightened the spirit of all residents at Cedar Village. Through hard work and dedication, the Cedar Village Choir worked with the choirs from the Seasons Retirement Community and Sharonville Senior Center, and hosted a Singing Extravaganza. Conducted by Cedar Village’s Music Therapist, Jude, the concert brought smiles to many faces and even a standing ovation.
Funds continue to help sponsor exercise classes, flower arranging, and jewelry-making classes. After a bit of muscle strengthening, residents go on to create lovely arrangements and beautiful jewelry.
Within a retirement community it is vital to provide engagement and stimulation for mind, body and spirit.
