Danger in Coastal areas of Jati, Sujawal and Badin Pakistan

"Extremely severe" Cyclone Tauktae has made dangerous hit in Gujarat, India Meteorological Department tweeted this evening. It will cross the coast between Porbandar and Mahuva in the next few hours, sustaining wind speeds of 155-165 kilometres per hour and now moving towards Sindh coastal belt bby next 2 days.

"With the impending landfall of the extremely severe cyclonic storm forecast in coastal areas of Coastal belt of Sindh Pakistan, Sindh Govt formed emergency plans immediately have prepared themselves with substantial teams along with elements of communication and engineer task forces to provide relief and all kinds of assistance. AHD also present in Jati area and will help nearby communities if damages done by this cyclone.

Farmers cultivated wheat crop on small scale for food security

Farmers of costal area of district Sujawal facing deep cold as temperature goes down to 5 to 6 degree at the average of yearly winter temperature remain 15 to 18 approximately. The cold season this year longer as compare to previous years, about 25 small farmers secure their foods for one year as they planted 2 to 4 acres wheat crop on the lands of their small land holdings.

AHD happy to share that about thousands of farmers cultivated wheat crop and now they will have access to food all over the year in 2021.

El Nino & Climate Change making adverse effects on crops & agricultural lands

The Climate Change has made adverse effects on the world and in poor countries rain spell time change and creating floods and demolished crops, house and agricultural lands now direct affecting poor farmers in Lower Sindh Pakistan.

Some 1200 farmers lost crops and vegetables and their houses as well and now their crops and lands submerged in rain water and them all living at open sky on roads and dry places.

Farmers adopted smart practices to cultivate rice crop

The farmers near Jati taluka of Sujawal district now aware about the shortage of irrigation water and majority of the farmers doing laser leveling of the land and putting farm yard manure in their agricultural lands and now they cultivated rice see to harvest good in next quarter

The rice cultivation season starts and majority of the farmers busy in planting rice seed on their lands; in pictures we can see the efforts of the farmers having small land holdings

We are confident to help more famers during this season if we receive good donation for this project

This quarter Farmers received good rain spell for their crops at Jati area

The Rain spell of this winter received good at coastal area of Sujawal and Badin districts that helped to cultivate crops in time and people are very happy to receive rain in this winter.

About 213 farmers of residing nearby Karmailk and Rajmalik union councils cultivated wheat and burseem crops. The farmers happy as now they will have a abundant food for their family and grass for their animals.

AHD helping some 15 villages nearby with Nadi filter, cooking stove and women empowering program visited these villages and very interesting to see farmers happy on this winter

AHD looking to help more farmers with seed and fertilizer for some 213 farmers and we needs donation 10,650 for 213 farmers for Rice seed and fertilizer.
