Opening doors together

By Marianella Paul | Director

Dear friends and donors,

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, I am happy to reach out to share what’s happening on the ground. And before anything else, I want to say THANK YOU: Your steady support is opening doors, changing lives, and letting more families know they’re not alone.

The numbers speak loudly: 1 in 7 people is neurodivergent, and 1 in 31 children is diagnosed with autism. The need is real, urgent, and growing.

I am happy to share with you three highlights of this current school year quarter that fill us with pride and hope:

  • 110 children and teens are enrolled in our psychoeducational program, and
  • Three schools are working with us through our “Acercamiento a la Neurodiversidad” professional development program, helping teachers and administrators adopt an inclusion mindset and better support neurodivergent students.
  • An international institution is in the process of certifying our psychoeducational attention model.

We’ve also expanded our services to reach more families: virtual diagnostics, social skills sessions, and a new modality of our psychoeducational program.

Little by little, together we’re opening more doors.

But the truth is, reality remains tough. The economic pressure is constant. Hardship is growing. Every week, our phone rings with more families asking for help. Behind each call is a child with dreams, a family doing everything they can, a future waiting to unfold. And we feel that responsibility deeply.

Still, at Autismo en Voz Alta, our commitment remains unchanged. We’re here to keep going, to keep building a society where neurodiversity is understood, respected, and embraced. Our impact—your impact—keeps growing. This work has already touched hundreds of children, teens, and young adults.

As we approach our 20th anniversary, our experience, an incredible team, and a mission rooted in love keep us moving forward. We’re not giving up. And thanks to you, we don’t have to.

Thank you for walking this path with us and for trusting us with your social investment. Today more than ever, your support is the backbone of our mission. Your generosity fuels awareness, growth, and real change. It lights the way.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Marianella on behalf of Autismo en Voz Alta's team.
