My name is Ricky, I am a plastic artist and I am 30 years old, when I was child, I lived in the boarding school of the Corporación SUPERARSE from 1995 to 1999, then I returned to live in the street as an indigent and my life was an odyssey of hardships and sorrows, one day a teacher rescued me and went back to SUPERARSE, I started a new life process, I committed myself to study, they supported me to perform artistic watercolor art studies, with very positive results, then with the support of a sponsor of the Corporación SUPERARSE, I could enter the University of Fine Arts and for my work and good performance I participated in several exhibitions, now I have a master's degree in education and I teach art to children who like me do not have a home to grow.
Corporación Superarse has been vital in my path, rescuing all my educational, cultural and family process, day by day supports my life project and that of many young people that like me dream of studying to change their future and that of their family.
Today I continue to strive to improve my art and to support many young people who also need your support to study and get ahead. We hope your participation in the Bonus Day campaign next July 18, with your contributions we can continue making many dreams come true!!!
This month, through this project, 8 young people with limited resources have been able to enroll in different educational institutions, to access higher and university education through different government programs. With the support of the psychologist that guides the project, the young people received advice and accompaniment to gather the documentation and carry out the registration process, now we are waiting for them to confirm if everyone is going to be able to start studying their professional career.
Each year thousands of young people close to their degree in secondary education begin an arduous search for the right institution to pursue their higher education and yet in Colombia only 34% of young people gain access to a higher education institution, this problem is accentuated more in young people with scarce resources, poor communities and forgotten by the state.
With your support we will achieve that more of these young people have education and can build a new future for themselves and their families. To join the educational support plan, you can call us at (574-4484110 ext181) or see more information at:
Limitations in higher education can condemn the future of young people in Colombia, which is why we can not rest from seeking greater spaces and opportunities for young people without economic resources to move forward and to participate in a country that progresses.
In the Corporación Superarse we work so that the young people we support despite not having money or study possibilities, achieve their dreams of being professionals and having a good job or having their own company.
Promoting equal access to education between men and women affects the development and positive growth of a country in terms of wealth and welfare of its society. In recent years we have made possible the study dream of almost 40 young people who are on their way to becoming professionals or are already working.
To continue and to be younger, we need a lot of support, we need many donations, because although we know that education is expensive we do not falter in the dream of giving education to break the circles of poverty in which they and their families were born.
