Only 30% of college-age youth are enrolled in higher education. A large number of young people work from childhood or in informal, poorly paid and unstable work.A prolonged armed conflict has brought negative impacts in Colombia such as internal displacement, violence, and poverty (40% of the population live in poverty), child labor (22% of the children work in the streets). This represents a lack of opportunities for study and professionalization of young people, generating increasing inequality
This project seeks to guide young people without resources to access higher education, obtaining scholarships and financial aid to enter the university. As well as support to get formal, well-paid jobs. With your contribution the program seeks to transform the lives of young, so that with study and work, these young people break the circle of poverty in which they have grown up. Aligning our work with the SDGs, of quality education, decent work and economic growth and reduction of inequalities.
With your help, these young people will achieve be able to have higher education and be professionals, have stable jobs, reducing poverty and inequality, saving them in the long term from drugs, prostitution, armed conflict, be homeless, unwanted pregnancies and other consequences of poverty. They are the citizens of tomorrow and we want them to be part of a more equitable society, based on education, critical sense, responsibility and autonomy. This program WILL TRANSFORM THE LIFE OF YOUNG PEOPLE
