"I raise up my voice—not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard...we cannot succeed when half of us are held back." Malala Yousafzai
March is #WomensMonth and we want to celebrate our courageous high schoolers who are thriving in school, overcoming trauma, and pursuing their audacious dreams! In Freely in Hope, survivors of sexual violence are learning how to use their voices on behalf of other survivors of sexual violence.
For example, Fiela, one of our high school scholars in Kenya, has transformed from being a quiet girl who was afraid of speaking, to an outgoing and confident young woman who is now an advocate for mothers with children born out of rape. After a leadership training, she said, “Through the leadership trainings that Freely in Hope provides, I have really transformed. But I know that this is only the beginning—I hope that you will continue to walk with me in this journey until I am transformed even more!”
Thanks to your generous support, survivors of sexual violence like Fiela, can continue in their journey of transformation in a safe and secure learning environment.
Thank you for raising up your voice to support education for women! Continue to support our mission of equipping survivors, like Fiela, to lead in ending the cycle of sexual violence through education and leadership.
