Education has often been regarded as the key to unlocking numerous opportunities and achieving personal and societal growth. The metaphor of education as "a path to a golden door" and "a shut prison" succinctly captures its dual role in enriching lives and preventing the perpetuation of ignorance and societal ills.
Our school, Light House Academy, has been providing education to underprivileged children. Imparting knowledge has been our priority where our children can make informed decisions and are able to solve problems in life.
With the onset of the New Year, our children are looking forward to a season of hope and a bright future. Our students had the incredible opportunity to participate in a football match hosted by South United Football Club in Bangalore. This match was just not about the game—it was about fostering team spirit, determination, and passion for learning.
Our students have also been actively taking time to nurture plants in their kitchen garden, which is located on our campus. They were thrilled to harvest their own chillies and tomatoes. Many of our students come from poor and severely deprived families, where their parents have been working as labourers on several farms. Our students now know the importance of agriculture, a subject close to many of our students who come from farming families themselves.
Recently, our students have also been putting their heart and mind into their studies. From English to Math to Science. Please wish them the very best. Our teachers are also putting in their very best so that our students excel in their studies.
Education is a critical factor in social mobility. It breaks the chains of poverty and opens doors to new horizons. A big Thank you to all our donors for supporting our underprivileged students. It is with your support that they will be able to have a hope and a future.
