Challenges
The ban on girls’ education from grades 6 to 12 remains a critical challenge, depriving countless young girls of the opportunity to learn and grow. This policy has created a significant educational gap, limiting students’ futures and undermining societal progress. The suspension of activities in Helmand due to security concerns further compounds these challenges. Despite these obstacles, LEARN Afghan remains steadfast in its commitment to providing education through innovative and resilient methods such as hybrid learning and digital platforms.
Looking Ahead
Our strategic goals include:
• Expanding programs into more provinces ,underserved regions and continuing growth in Daikundi, Herat, and Samangan.
• Strengthening higher education pathways through scholarships and academic support for graduates.
• Enhancing digital platforms and resources to increase accessibility and quality of education.
• Continuing advocacy efforts for girls’ education and gender equality across Afghanistan.
• Support the continued development and expansion of specialized programs, such as the Experiential Center in Robotics and Cybersecurity, as well as courses in Journalism and Artificial Intelligence, to foster innovation and empower emerging voices
Conclusion
LEARN Afghan’s programs have transformed the educational landscape for 760 students and graduates across six provinces, creating pathways to economic independence, social empowerment, and community leadership. By prioritizing quality education, holistic development, and resilience, we are fostering a generation equipped to lead Afghanistan toward a brighter and more equitable future.
