A large numbers of underprivileged children at Nepal are forced to drop out from schools not completing the full cycle of primary and secondary education due to their poverty, low household income, child marriage and child labor. To address this needs and challenge Social Development Organization Nepal aims to retain 150 underprivileged and reunited children to continue their school education, providing them tution fees, stationery sets, and school bags.
Nepal's statistical data projects, enrollment of children at primary and secondary school is 6.2 million. However, 4.8 % of students are leaving schools every year. High dropout remains a challenge in school education. Main reasons of dropping out of children are poverty, child marriage, child works and uneducated parents. Engagement of dropout children found higher on Premature sexual activity, early pregnancy, crime, violence, alcohol, suicide, sex trafficking, and drug abuse at society.
Presently, we have reunited the children with their families from our orphanage. In addition to these re-integrated children, we aims to support 150 underprivileged children who are in need with tuttion fees, stationery sets and school bags so that they can continue their school education without any hindrance living with their own families. Our supported 150 underprivileged and reintegrated children will get quality education and complete the primary and secondary school education without any hindrance. It will prevent children to engage on high-risk behaviors. They will be empowered and developed as good , examplery and productive citizens leading their family, society and nation in right and positive track.
