Educate Repatriated Refugee Children in Liberia

Hello supporters, sponsors and donors, you have really been amazing with your supports and we really appreciate you for all of your efforts. If it has not been for you, if it would have been a very difficult situation for us to continue this project because this project does not have any support or source of income from anywhere but rather from your donation.  We know that the whole world continue to get tough since the world is economic continue to get so bad. I sometime feel like giving up especially when there is no donation to this project that can meet our project goal but the commitment of some few donors and supporters give me the hope and strength.

The kids and teachers at the Carolyn A. Miller School have placed their whole hope in me thinking that I have the power to request on their behalf and it works. I tried to keep their hope but the number of donors we had over the years have reduced and this is really affecting the progress of the school. One of our donors is so amazing and she was able to purchased two acres of land for the school some years ago and we have been anticipating that everyone could see this as an opportunity to give their support for us to be able to construct our own building but right, now donation right only couple of our supports and sponsors still committed. We see renting to be a difficult situation for us right now therefore investing the development of our own school will really help reduce some major expense.

We continue to work with the kids and continue to develop their hope because these kids are the leaders of Liberia and the world.  There is a lot of work to be done; the present building we are using is not in a good condition therefore we are considering renovation so till we can get the support to build. Right now our students are feeling bad because their building is not in good condition and the owner of the building is very old and she does not have the finances to renovate it, we are considering to undertake the renovation and that will be spread over the number of years we are going to spent, we will appreciate any support that will help us make this building dream a reality that the kids will have better place for their learning.

It was an amazing event on the Carolyn A. Miller school Campus in the month of April when the students decided to have sporting activities for a week and this was really interesting in that every class wanted to carry the trophy that was put up by the institution but only one class could be the winner and that class was the grade 11^th soccer class.

 We want to say many thanks to all of our committed sponsors and donors who continue to give their love to these kids. Your donation is so important to these kids and our project. If has been for you, there couldn’t be any school called Carolyn A. Miller that is providing free and quality education to the less fortunate kid of Liberia and the world. We want to believe that we can make a better if just we can work as a team.

 I would like to say that Poverty, being underprivileged and living in this part of world cannot define our kids and youth because they possess skills, talents; abilities, desire and willingness to change the circumstances they see around them. All they need is guidance, opportunities, self-esteem and a winning attitude to propel them to greater heights. You are making a great sacrifice to see these kids to have a future. 

  I have come to realize that to define people by their conditions rather than their abilities is dehumanizing. When you look past the poverty, you see abilities, resources and desires. The poor are extremely hard-working and entrepreneurial – they must be just to survive. They don’t want or need to be rescued.

 They want an opportunity to create a better life for their families and I can that you are creating that opportunity for the underprivileged in this part of our world. With your continued help, we will be able to have an even bigger impact in Liberia and you will ever be remember and we will be sending you regular reports about our work so you will know what your donations are helping to fund and the accomplishment we are achieving and what our current needs are. The major project we want to focus on for this year is the construction of our school this will give opportunity to get many from the street and secure their future with the present opportunity.
