I’m excited to share a few updates from the past couple of months at Bahini Education Project. Our students have been participating in after-school training programs designed to build their confidence and skills for the future.
In April, we organized a financial literacy training for our bahinis and their mothers, in collaboration with Citizen Forum for Health and Education. The goal was to equip them with essential banking and money management skills. Together, we learned:

As the new school year begins, we’re excited to share that our bahinis are now entering Grade 12, a huge milestone! We provided books, uniforms, shoes, and other supplies to support their studies.
We have a 100% retention rate, every girl in our program is still in school. In a country where 80% of girls drop out before Grade 11, this is an extraordinary success.
And we’re growing. By the end of 2025, we’ll welcome two new students entering Grade 9 into the program. Your support ensures we can continue to say “yes” to more girls who deserve the same opportunity to learn and lead.
