Bahini Education Project's mission is to educate and empower young women in rural Nepal, enable them to reach their educational and career goals, and guide them to become responsible leaders through mentorship, skills training, and educational support. Bahini means "younger sister" in Nepali. Bahini Education Project provides social, economic, and academic support from secondary school through college and fosters consistent, long-term relationships with the bahinis and their families. We aim to educate and empower all bahinis we work with because we know that young women can be confident leaders, inspire others, have a greater role in society, and transform their communities.
