Expanding Our Reach & Empowering More Girls!

By Grace Olango | S.T.E.A.M Project Lead

Dignity packs for girls from new partner schools
Dignity packs for girls from new partner schools

This Quarter, we’ve taken a big step forward—partnering with five new primary schools in Ndhiwa. That brings us to 21 schools where we’re supporting girls in discovering their strengths and pursuing their dreams.

One of the key activities we’ve introduced for girls from the new schools is something that’s always been central to our work: the Girls’ Forum. These workshops take place during school holidays, when the girls visit our office and spend time in safe, supportive spaces where they can connect, reflect, and grow. They talk about confidence, leadership, menstrual health, their rights—and so much more. It’s a space where they feel heard, valued, and empowered.

You can feel the impact of the Girls’ Forums in the joy on their faces, the thoughtful questions they ask, and the laughter they share with friends. Moments like these remind us why this work matters—because when girls are given the space to speak, learn, and grow, they flourish.

Ndhiwa remains one of Kenya’s many regions where climate change, poverty, and limited infrastructure weigh heavily on families. The challenges are real. But so is the hope. And the hunger for learning we see in these classrooms—especially among girls—is something extraordinary.

Even in the toughest conditions, these girls show up. They’re ready to learn, to lead, to dream. What they need is a chance—a tablet in their classroom, a teacher who believes in them, a space with books,a solar lamp to study by, a uniform to wear proudly, or essential hygiene supplies to ensure their dignity . And that’s exactly what your support is helping us create.

Every new school is a new chapter. Every girl who raises her hand in a Girls’ Forum is a story in the making. And with you by our side, those stories are filled with more possibilities than ever.

Thank you for standing with us!
