Over 60 million girls globally are not being educated. Whether because they have to marry, work or care for younger siblings, they are not having access to the fundamental right to go to school. 32 million more girls are missing out on the first 3 years of secondary education.

At a special screening of the film "He Named Me Malala," 100 deserving girls in Nigeria who are part of the Educate a Girl scholarship programme, will learn and watch the story of Malala Yousafzai who was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman at the age of 14, survived and is fighting for girls' rights to education.

Long-Term Impact

The project will raise awareness about the importance of girls' education among young women and girls in Nigeria.
