Dear Friends,

JWF scholarship program is dedicated towards providing quality education and transforming young peoples aspirations into fullfilling careers

in 2018,two exceptional students, one  is from Maranda high school and another one is from Kakamega were enrolled in the program after their outstanding kenya certificate of primary education by scoring 426 and 414 respectively out of 500 possible markd.

Four years later, their hardwork continues and paid off with impressive performance in Kenya certificate of secondary education with the Maranda boys' scored A plain and and the other one from Kakamega high school did score B+ both securing chances in our government public universities where they would be able to continue with their education to the higest level ever.

The foundation has continued with its mission by sponsoring a nother group of performing pupils to attend the high school of their choice, including two at Kabianga high school.

JWF committment to redefinig lives remains strong, guiding students towards realizing their full potential and aspirations, redefining Lives!

we give credit to our friends and partners. we thank GlobalGiving for offering a good platform for our friends to mke it happen. Together we can.

Nyalenda community is located in Kisumu County within Kenya.it is the 3rd biggest slum in Kenya after Kibera and Mathare. Majority of the people living here live within a dollar away, they can't afford a decent meal, a decent house to live in and affordable education to their children.

James Were foundation through various friends and partners have been changing lives and taking children back to school. With the change in educational curriculum, things have even turned worse since parents have to incur to fund the CBC which rums from grade one to six. We have been working closely with the community in ensuring that bright and needy children get access to education.

Our target has been 65 but our number has fell below the target because of lack of proper funding.we haven't gotten enough funds as we need USD 1000 to Carter for a full years fee for one student. JWF is in the limelight as 10 of the sponsored students have joined various public universities. We are expecting another 4 to join University by next year as they are currently sitting their exams.

JWF is in dilemma as the new government curriculum is taking a double number to high school next year.....the 9th graders and the 7th graders for both senior high and Junior high. We still believe in partnership with friends to achieve our targets. Let's do it together as we have been doing. TOGETHER WE CAN.

Hello Friends,

I hope this finds you well. It has been well and busy weeks for the school going students in Kenya as the school calendar was revised to fit the current situation. This was necessitated by the adverse Covid 19 effect.

Schools were closed for 10 days and all schools are being opened on either 3rd or 4th of January 2022. We are preparing the students for KCPE and KCSE exams that are due in March 2022.

JWF paid the school fee for their sponsored students for the whole year meaning no breaking for school until the end of third semester, We value friends and partners because you have made it happen. We shall have a compressive report by April when students will starting the new semester either in different forms or grade 9. We value your support and partnership. God bless you.

This project is doing well and covering more numbers. out of the 10 students that JWF sponsors, three of the sat for kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams and qualified for university. one of the student is going to pursue Medicine at the university of Nairobi, one is pursuing acturial Science at Egerton university while the third student pursuing Civil engineering at the Technical university of Kenya.

It has been a privildge for JWF and partners to come to the rescue of these deserving students. They will now pursue their dreams and this wil bring hope to their families.

JWF manged to sponsor three more students who joined Form one ( grade 9), we had a lot of demand but was not able to meet the demand as many needy students performed so well in their exams. we are still restricted to funding a bigger number as we still lack proper funding from well wishers and partners. it is our hope that very soon we shall attract funding to sponsor more than 100 students within the four counties that we reprsent.

we paid school fee to our 7 continuing students who are also working so hard to emulate the performance put forward by the three students who are now joining university.

it is our sincere hope that we shall walk this journey togther with friends and partners to make this happen.

God bless you all.

Hello Friends and Partners. I hope this finds you well. we are doing fine and getting ready for back to school by monday 10th May, 2021. It has been tough on school programs due to the Covid -19 pundemic.

JWF has tried copying up with difficult situation of raising money to keep the needy students in school. we still have 10 under sponsorship program and waiting to admit another 5 in July 2021 when the new year starts. The outbreak of the Coronavirus made Kenya school term dates to change.

we had our primary school KCPE candidates and high school KCSE candidates take their exams in March 2021. Both primary and Secondary candiadtes are very ready to Join grade 9 and colleges/university this coming July and September 2021.

JWF is still mobilizing more resources to make this dream of taking high school students to school.Together with partners and friends we will make it happen.  We have very challenging cases this year with five students passing their exams scoring 400 marks over possible 500, some of the cases are extreme but we believe with your prayers and support, we will manage and make it happen. I also want to friends that two our students under sponsorship are also transiting to the university.

JWF is still making more effort in networking and connecting with friends and partners to help us achieve our goals and objective.Yes we can.
